πῶλος pōlos, po'-los; apparently a primary word; a "foal" or "filly", i.e. (specially), a young ass:—colt.
The KJV translates Strong's G4454 in the following manner: colt (12x).

1. a colt, the young of the horse: so very often from Homer down.
