σπλαγχνίζομαι splanchnízomai, splangkh-nid'-zom-ahee; middle voice from G4698; to have the bowels yearn, i.e. (figuratively) feel sympathy, to pity:—have (be moved with) compassion.
The KJV translates Strong's G4697 in the following manner: have compassion (7x), be moved with compassion (5x).
to be moved as to one's bowels, hence to be moved with compassion, have compassion (for the bowels were thought to be the seat of love and pity)
