a. to bring forth to view:

ἑαυτόν τινι,
Luke 17:14; to show
i. e. bid to look at, τί τινι,
Matthew 24:1; to show
i. e. furnish to be looked at, produce what may be looked at:
σημεῖον,
Matthew 16:1; Middle with the accusative of the thing,
to display something belonging to oneself:
χιτῶνας, the tunics
as their own, Acts 9:39 [see Meyer].
b. to prove, demonstrate, set forth to be known and acknowledged:
Hebrews 6:17; followed by the accusative and the infinitive
