Why this role might suit you

What you will do

- Provide expert advice and operational support for managing, curating and preserving research data through its full lifecycle.
- Help researchers follow FAIR data principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) and meet funder and institutional policies.
- Work with colleagues across social sciences, humanities, climate science and other areas to improve data governance and stewardship.
- Recommend strategies for storage, metadata, documentation and long-term preservation.
- Use programming, cloud platforms and database tools to support data-intensive research.
- Contribute to ARC’s innovation projects in digital scholarship and computational research.

Who we’re looking for

- Experience supporting or conducting data-intensive research.
- A good understanding of research data lifecycle management and FAIR principles.
- Technical skills in Python (or similar), and familiarity with cloud services and databases (for example SQL or SPARQL).
- The ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Experience in social sciences, digital humanities, climate science or similar areas is a bonus.
- A commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
- Eligibility for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship is required (UCL will support the sponsorship process for eligible candidates).
