We are looking for an Assessment Manager to join the School of Management at the University of Bath. This is a full-time, permanent position based on our Bath campus. The role


You will lead the School’s Assessment Team and be responsible for the reliable delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate assessments. Day-to-day duties include overseeing marks processing, coordinating exam boards, maintaining student records and advising staff on assessment regulations.

A key part of the role is improving how we work: you will review processes, use data to identify improvements and put changes in place to increase efficiency and fairness, especially during busy assessment periods.

Main responsibilities

Person specification


- Degree or equivalent professional experience in a regulated environment
- Knowledge of assessment processes and higher education regulatory frameworks
- Experience of leading teams and managing operational services
- Good stakeholder management and advisory skills
- Strong organisational and analytical skills, with digital confidence
- Ability to work with diverse teams and promote inclusive practice
