HYDROP'ICAL, a. [L. hydrops; Gr. dropsy; water.]

1. Dropsical; diseased with extravasated water.

2. Containing water; caused by extravasated water; as a hydropic swelling.

3. Resembling dropsy.

Every lust is a kind of hydropic distemper, and the more we drink the more we shall thirst.
