2. metaphorically,
eminence, excellence, superiority, (Cicero, ad Att. 4, 15, 7
ἐξοχή in nullo est, pecunia omnium dignitatem exaequat);
ἄνδρες οἱ κατ’ ἐξοχὴν ὄντες τῆς πόλεως, the prominent men of the city,
Acts 25:23.
