Ammihud (people of praise).

1. An Ephraimite father of Elishama, the chief of the tribe at the time of the Exodus. (Numbers 1:10; 2:18; Num 7:48; Num 7:53; 10:22; 7:26) and, through him, ancestor of Joshua. (B.C. 1491.)

2. A Simeonite, father of Shemuel. (Numbers 34:20)

3. The father of Pedahel, prince of the tribe of Naphtali. (Numbers 34:28)
