How [1] happy are those whose way is blameless, ⓘ who walk according to the LORD’s instruction! ⓙ

Happy are those who keep his decrees ⓚ and seek him with all their heart. ⓛ
3
They do nothing wrong; ⓜ they walk in his ways.

You have commanded that your precepts ⓝ be diligently kept.
5
If only my ways were committed to keeping your statutes! ⓐ
6
Then I would not be ashamed ⓑ when I think about all your commands.
7
I will praise you with an upright heart ⓒ when I learn your righteous judgments.
8
I will keep your statutes; never abandon me. ⓓ
9
How can a young man keep his way pure? By keeping your [2] word. ⓔ
10
I have sought you with all my heart; ⓕ don’t let me wander from your commands. ⓖ
11
I have treasured your word in my heart ⓗ so that I may not sin against you.

LORD, may you be blessed; teach me your statutes. ⓘ
13
With my lips I proclaim all the judgments from your mouth. ⓙ
14
I rejoice in the way revealed by your decrees ⓚ as much as in all riches.
15
I will meditate on your precepts ⓛ and think about your ways. ⓜ
16
I will delight in your statutes; ⓝ I will not forget your word.
17
Deal generously with your servant ⓐ so that I might live; then I will keep your word.
18
Open my eyes so that I may contemplate wondrous things from your instruction.

I am a resident alien on earth; ⓑ do not hide your commands from me.

I am continually overcome with longing for your judgments. ⓒ
21
You rebuke the arrogant, the ones under a curse, ⓓ who wander from your commands. ⓔ
22
Take insult and contempt away from me, ⓕ for I have kept your decrees.
23
Though princes sit together speaking against me, ⓖ your servant will think about your statutes; ⓗ

your decrees are my delight and my counselors. ⓘ

My life is down in the dust; ⓙ give me life ⓚ through your word.

I told you about my life, and you answered me; teach me your statutes. ⓛ

Help me understand the meaning of your precepts so that I can meditate on your wonders. ⓜ

I am weary [3] from grief; strengthen me through your word. ⓝ

Keep me from the way of deceit and graciously give me your instruction.

I have chosen the way of truth; I have set your ordinances before me. ⓐ

I cling to your decrees; LORD, do not put me to shame. ⓑ

I pursue the way of your commands, for you broaden my understanding. [4] ⓒ

Teach me, LORD, the meaning [5] of your statutes, and I will always keep them. [6] ⓓ

Help me understand your instruction, ⓔ and I will obey it and follow it with all my heart. ⓕ

Help me stay on the path of your commands, ⓖ for I take pleasure in it. ⓗ

Turn my heart to your decrees ⓘ and not to dishonest profit. ⓙ

Turn my eyes from looking at what is worthless; ⓚ give me life in your ways. [7] ⓛ

Confirm what you said to your servant, ⓜ for it produces reverence for you.

Turn away the disgrace I dread; ⓝ indeed, your judgments are good.

How I long for your precepts! ⓐ Give me life through your righteousness.

Let your faithful love come to me, LORD, ⓑ your salvation, as you promised. ⓒ

Then I can answer the one who taunts me, ⓓ for I trust in your word.

Never take the word of truth from my mouth, for I hope in your judgments. ⓔ

I will always obey your instruction, forever and ever. ⓕ

I will walk freely in an open place ⓖ because I study your precepts. ⓗ

I will speak of your decrees before kings and not be ashamed. ⓘ

I delight in your commands, which I love. ⓙ

I will lift up my hands ⓚ to your commands, which I love, and will meditate on your statutes. ⓛ

Remember your word to your servant; you have given me hope through it.

This is my comfort in my affliction: ⓜ Your promise has given me life.

The arrogant constantly ridicule me, but I do not turn away from your instruction. ⓝ

LORD, I remember your judgments from long ago and find comfort.

Rage seizes me ⓐ because of the wicked who reject your instruction. ⓑ

Your statutes are the theme of my song during my earthly life. [8]

LORD, I remember your name ⓒ in the night, ⓓ and I obey your instruction.

This is my practice: I obey your precepts. ⓔ

The LORD is my portion; [9] ⓕ I have promised to keep your words.

I have sought your favor ⓖ with all my heart; be gracious to me ⓗ according to your promise.

I thought about my ways ⓘ and turned my steps back to your decrees.

I hurried, not hesitating to keep your commands.

Though the ropes of the wicked ⓙ were wrapped around me, I did not forget your instruction. ⓚ

I rise at midnight to thank you ⓛ for your righteous judgments. ⓜ

I am a friend to all who fear you, ⓝ to those who keep your precepts.

LORD, the earth is filled with your faithful love; ⓐ teach me your statutes. ⓑ

LORD, you have treated your servant well, just as you promised.

Teach me good judgment and discernment, ⓒ for I rely on your commands.

Before I was afflicted I went astray, ⓓ but now I keep your word.

You are good, ⓔ and you do what is good; ⓕ teach me your statutes.

The arrogant have smeared me with lies, ⓖ but I obey your precepts with all my heart. ⓗ

Their hearts are hard and insensitive, ⓘ but I delight in your instruction. ⓙ

It was good for me to be afflicted ⓚ so that I could learn your statutes.

Instruction from your lips ⓛ is better for me than thousands of gold and silver pieces.

Your hands made me and formed me; ⓜ give me understanding so that I can learn your commands. ⓝ

Those who fear you will see me and rejoice, ⓐ for I put my hope in your word. ⓑ

I know, LORD, that your judgments are just and that you have afflicted me fairly. ⓒ

May your faithful love comfort me as you promised your servant.

May your compassion come to me ⓓ so that I may live, for your instruction is my delight. ⓔ

Let the arrogant be put to shame ⓕ for slandering me with lies; I will meditate on your precepts.

Let those who fear you, those who know your decrees, turn to me.

May my heart be blameless regarding your statutes ⓖ so that I will not be put to shame.

I long for your salvation; ⓗ I put my hope in your word. ⓘ

My eyes grow weary looking for what you have promised; ⓙ I ask, “When will you comfort me?”

Though I have become like a wineskin dried by smoke, I do not forget your statutes.

How many days must your servant wait? When will you execute judgment on my persecutors? ⓚ

The arrogant have dug pits for me; ⓛ they violate your instruction.

All your commands are true; people persecute me with lies — help me! ⓜ

They almost ended my life on earth, but I did not abandon your precepts.

Give me life in accordance with your faithful love, and I will obey the decree you have spoken.

LORD, your word is forever; ⓝ it is firmly fixed in heaven.

Your faithfulness is for all generations; ⓐ you established the earth, and it stands firm. ⓑ

If your instruction had not been my delight, I would have died in my affliction. ⓔ

I have your decrees as a heritage forever; indeed, they are the joy of my heart. ⓐ

Sustain me so that I can be safe ⓚ and always be concerned about your statutes. ⓛ

You reject all who stray from your statutes, ⓜ for their deceit is a lie.

You remove all the wicked on earth as if they were [12] dross from metal; ⓝ therefore, I love your decrees. ⓐ

I tremble [13] in awe of you; ⓑ I fear your judgments.

I have done what is just and right; ⓒ do not leave me to my oppressors.

Guarantee your servant’s well-being; ⓓ do not let the arrogant oppress me.

My eyes grow weary ⓔ looking for your salvation and for your righteous promise.

Deal with your servant based on your faithful love; ⓕ teach me your statutes.

I am your servant; ⓖ give me understanding ⓗ so that I may know your decrees.

It is time for the LORD to act, ⓘ for they have violated your instruction.

Since I love your commands ⓙ more than gold, even the purest gold,

I carefully follow all your precepts ⓚ and hate every false way. ⓛ

The revelation of your words ⓐ brings light and gives understanding to the inexperienced. ⓑ

Redeem me from human oppression, ⓖ and I will keep your precepts.

My eyes pour out streams of tears ⓙ because people do not follow your instruction.

You are righteous, LORD, ⓚ and your judgments are just.

The decrees you issue are righteous and altogether trustworthy. ⓛ

My anger overwhelms me because my foes forget your words. ⓜ

Your word is completely pure, ⓝ and your servant loves it. ⓐ

Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and your instruction is true. ⓓ

Champion my cause and redeem me; ⓓ give me life as you promised.

Salvation is far from the wicked because they do not study your statutes. ⓔ

Your compassions are many, LORD; ⓕ give me life according to your judgments.

I have seen the disloyal ⓘ and feel disgust ⓙ because they do not keep your word.
